Networking Racks

A Networking rack is simply the framework upon which network equipment is mounted. These are Open Racks and  Enclosure racks. The main difference in open rack and enclosure is that enclosure is a type of Rack that is fitted with side panels , front and rear doors. The open racks are used where we need an easy access to the equipment installed. The enclosures have more security as they are closed type with key access. Virtually all modern floor, wall, and ceiling enclosures feature keyed entry, locking out unauthorized personnel to prevent tampering. Side panels and doors are constructed of heavy steel to prevent damage.   

The enclosure racks are different on Mounting options. There are different mounting types for instance Floor standing , Wall Mount , Pole Mount racks. The size of each rack can vary according to its application type. 2U, 4U , 6U , 9U , 12U , 15U ,19U , 42 U  etc are some of the basic sizes of enclosures racks.  These come different dimensions according to the need. Such as , 400mm , 450mm , 500mm, 600mm depth etc.  Racks can also be OUTDOOR and INDOOR types.
