OTDR Testing –
Firstly , What is OTDR – Its is Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer. It is the way to build , certify , maintain and troubleshoot the fiber optic systems. It is an instrument used to create a virtual “picture” of a fiber optic cable route. The OTDR is also the only tool capable of troubleshooting any fiber optic cable failures , locating the distance to the fault and identifying the type of fault-like breaks, bends and any excessive loss.
Fluke Cable Analyser / UTP testing / Penta Scanning
The cable Analyser supports copper certification. Hawk provides the Certification for testing of Copper Cables CAT6 / CAT6A . The file with loss in cable is provided to the client. Analyze test results and create professional test reports using LinkWare™ management software. In short it is about , making sure all tests are completed correctly.
Installation –
Installation of Fiber Optical Material at site requires a great expertise. Therefore , we generate a complete detailed plan for installation .The plan includes Equipment and supplies , Fiber cable specifications , location of equipment , personnel experience level , testing requirements , Installation methods , safety issues , outlay of the building / floor plans , etc. Use of proper tools and techniques is must. Like Breaking of Fiber cables due to pull , push or cut. Insufficient transmission of signal , excessive signal loss due to faulty connectors or splicing. Typically, if a connection is completely dead, it’s because of a break in the cable.
In short troubleshooting of complex networks at sites with use of proper Devices for example OTDR , Power Meter , LSPM , VFL ( Visual Fault Locator ) , Rodo Meter ( in case of checking the distance manually) is required. We use updated technology devices with New Software and certifications .
