Fiber optic pigtail is a type of fiber optic cable terminated with a factory-installed connector on one end and leaving the other end free for termination. Hence the connector side can be linked to equipment and the other side spliced with optical fiber cables. These are basically used for termination of optical fiber cable with other networking equipment during installation or troubleshooting.
